When will the courses run - dates will be updated during September

Courses will take place in the building of the Polytechnic College Jihlava (16 Tolstého Street).

Speaking course - 27 April 2024 at 8:30 am in classroom J1

Course Reading Use of English - May 4, 2024 at 8:30 in classroom J1

Writing Course - 5/18/2024 at 8:30 a.m. in Room J1

Listening course - June 1, 2024 at 8:30 a.m. in room J1

What are the prices of the courses?

The course opens with a minimum of 5 students in a group.
All courses have a single price = 550 CZK per module (Writing / Reading / Speaking / Listening). 1 module lasts 4 hours.
Course payment details will be sent to you after the electronic application form is received.

Annotation of the course

The aim of the course is to equip potential candidates with effective exam strategies as well as to help them get a better understanding of exam tasks. Within the course, candidates will learn how to write an academic essay and find out the difference between a report, a proposal and other genres. In addition, they will try their hand at writing and will be provided with a list of advanced discourse markers, linkers and model answers. Together with that, we will have a closer look at other parts of the exam, such as reading, listening and speaking. Candidates will be introduced to various techniques and strategies that will be immediately put into practice. On top of that, all course participants will get access to lists of advanced topic-related vocabulary, keyword transformation patterns, speaking guidelines and many more.
